Children in Europe: social inclusion

This topic is particularly relevant as this year has been declared the European Year of Equal Opportunity for All in terms of rights, representation, recognition and respect.  Although the messages of the European Year have not received wide publicity, this initiative sends an important signal that the European Union is committed to implementing projects that promote equality and prevent discrimination.

According to the European Commission document, this is “the centerpiece of a framework strategy aimed at effectively preventing discrimination, recognizing diversity and ensuring equal opportunities for all.”

In today's Europe, it's about equal opportunities.

Development in early childhood is closely related to the problem diversity, manifested in many areas:

  • As a result of intra-European and intercontinental increasing ethnic and cultural diversity.
  • Poverty primarily affects the youngest and their families, which severely limits their life chances. Basic the culprit is class inequality in society.
  • There is no gender equality in the field of women's employment, as well as in the field of personal or professional involvement men in childcare.
  • There are still no children with varying degrees of preparedness full integration into the preschool environment and school.

Diversity challenges conventional wisdom personality and nationality; raises new questions for governments and citizens to answer.

We believe that providing all children with optimal conditions for development and equal educational opportunities leads to an increase in the quality of life of the whole society.

We want to contribute to the formation of a new generation of creative and inquisitive people who will be guided in their lives by the principles of tolerance and social solidarity.
